I was monitoring the developments with respect to power struggle within Peace, Unity, and Development Party (Kulmiye party). It is a nature for human being or politician to look the possibility of higher positions including aiming the highest position of the country, but there is as criteria to nominate for any occupation, which possibly include qualification, experience, competency and efficiency. This is the standard of international benchmark for every post. Now looking the party top leadership, who is best candidate to run for the post of president for the part? if there is even a criteria to select a post of clerk, do we need a criteria required for a president? Yes, we need., but what are the criteria or quality of the president to be elected should posses.
Intelligence, knowledge of current and historical events, organizational skills, good communicator, Integrity, courage, diplomatic skills, charisma, .perseverance, .strong work ethic. trustworthiness, being honest, don’t cheat, steal, or deceive, Being reliable, doing what you say, having the courage to do the right thing, respect, being tolerant of others and accepting of differences, dealing peacefully with anger, insults, and disagreements, Planning and perseverance, self-control and self-discipline, Fairness, being open minded and listening, Don’t blame others for your faults, Caring, kindness, compassion, and forgiveness, Citizenship, Obeying laws, and accountability for your words and actions.
There was the obvious need for wisdom, common sense,” and “superb judgment,” including the ability while selecting a president. Another quality which required for a candidate of Somali-land president is who can gain the majority approval rating for every region, district, small settlement and village. Another international benchmark adapted universally is that if a president or a prime minster gains successive achievement during his/her first term of office, then he/she by default entitles re-electing in view of his/her performance in the past.In conclusion, appraising the quality of the said party top leadership, only the current president Ahmed Mohamed Mohamoud (Silanyo) can fill the quality detailed above. I am in the opinion that over 90 % of Somali-land public supports an identical visualization with me.
