The events in the Horn of Africa that are beginning to spiral downward and the heightened regional tensions in Ethiopia plus Mogadishu diplomatic disputes with neighboring Kenya and military confrontation between Sudan and Ethiopia along their border alongside with The United States military complete troops withdrawal from Somalia are an unprecedented opportunity for Somaliland.
However, our government should understand to benefit from the disruption evolving crisis and recognise the new and incredible opportunities that can emerge out of this crisis to Somaliland’s benefits.
The Horn of Africa crises are offering unexpected benefits for Somaliland with multiple interests and diverse partners and allies like The US if nurtured because once a crisis is in motion, turning it into an opportunity often requires new ways of seeing, thinking, and responding.
I hope that President Musa Bihi Abdi could understand and benefit from it.
