The Somaliland Ministry of Defense has issued a statement concerning allegations saying that the national army targeted civilian facilities in Las Anod.
Anti-peace militias fighting in Las Anod blamed the National army for bombarding hospitals and schools in the City, but the defense Ministry pointed out those allegations are fake news and social media propaganda targetting Somaliland’s reputation.
“We want to make it very clear to the people of Somaliland and the international community that the National Army has never targeted community facilities like hospitals and schools.”
“The fake news circulating on social media is intended to harm the National Army of the Republic of Somaliland’s reputation.
As seen in previous videos, facilities are deliberately damaged by multifaceted groups allied with anti-peace groups and terrorists.” Says the press release issued by the Defense Ministry.
