The Government of the Republic of Somaliland has issued a statement affirming its principled alignment with the United States in support of calibrated international action aimed at restoring constitutional order, democratic legitimacy, and the rule of law in Venezuela.
In the statement released from Hargeisa on Saturday, Somaliland said its position is grounded in international norms and collective security considerations. The government emphasized that responsible U.S.-led engagement, carried out in coordination with regional and multilateral partners, can play a critical role in addressing the crisis facing Venezuela.

According to the statement, such engagement could help alleviate humanitarian suffering, counter transnational criminal networks, and support a peaceful, Venezuelan-led political transition based on sovereignty, accountability, and respect for human rights.
The Republic of Somaliland reiterated its commitment to the principles of democracy, constitutional governance, and the rule of law, stressing that these values should guide international responses to political crises worldwide.
